In 2000, John Epstein discovered his passion in a communication training class where he served as an assistant. A senior facilitator suggested he become a trainer, initiating the certification process.

Over the next years, John conducted six 12-week courses, consistently surpassing global benchmarks. His enthusiasm and expertise led leaders to appoint him as a coach and mentor for junior instructors.

John’s business-to-business sales experience and trainer certification opened doors to Nielsen in 2006. As Director of Internal Learning & Development, he closely collaborated with client-facing associates in Nielsen’s US Media business. He facilitated sales, negotiation, and presentation skills classes, spoke at sales conferences, and conducted needs analyses, among other duties.

Epstein’s activities reached global colleagues and stakeholders across Nielsen’s portfolio. He conducted a train-the-trainer on four continents, certifying senior leaders from over 20 countries. This network of trainers has since impacted over 1,000 client-facing associates.

In 2015, John founded Actionable Learning Corp., offering contract facilitation services in consultative sales, negotiation, and presentation skills. He is a member of ATD and Toastmasters International.

John Epstein, with 30+ years of business-to-business sales experience, has facilitated learning and development programs globally. His expertise includes Consultative Sales, Negotiation, and Presentation Skills, impacting individuals from 25+ countries.

As the “ambassador” of the Nielsen Media Research U.S. learning organization, John was thrice honored by Nielsen’s Vice Chairman to host international guests from the Fortune/U.S. State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership.

John loves to spend time with family and friends and is an avid reader and golfer.
